First Bout...
July 11, 2009 - Blitz vs. Steel City's B-Unit

Best position...
I don't know if I have a "best" yet, but I love me some jammin!

What brought you to DDR?
I saw a flyer, came to a bout with a friend looking for a fun girl's night out, and within five minutes, knew I had to do this!

What keeps your wheels turning?
I love to skate!

What is your most embarrassing Derby moment?
The first time I ever came to practice... the week before I even tried out... we were learning how to fall correctly and it was fun.  Apparently I was having too much fun because in efforts to some classic 80's air guitar slide, I came down hard, heard a loud noise, and apparently created a minor tear in my meniscus.  So... when I couldn't put any weight on my left leg for almost a week, I had to explain to everyone that asked, I had been leaning how to fall and not hurt yourself.  I've gotten better at it...

What is your proudest Derby moment?
The first night I ever scrimmaged, a very strong blocker checked me hard several times, including a johnny-crash that took all of the wind out of me.  I scrambled up as fast as I could each time and got back in.  At the end of the night, the thing I was so proud of was that she hadn't felt that she needed to take it easy on me because I was new.  I felt so good that she hit as hard as she hit everyone else.

Got any injury stories?
Aside from the knee injury, it's just been a whole lot of rink rash and some nasty looking bruises.  I also had a perfect profile of a penguin on my butt.  Now I'm a proud mama of a fractured rib!
