    Sustaining the league
      Quarterly league meeting, 2-3 hours
League job--hours and schedule vary, with additional meetings and projects as needed. You may commit 4+ hours per month, while board members may expect 4+ hours per week.

    Costs of skating
League dues - $30 per month

      Better gear costs more.
Tournaments, food and lodging for away bouts, training sessions, and merchandise may add additional out-of-pocket costs.

Once you try out, you will enter our "skater tot" program, where you will learn the basics of roller derby:
      *basic roller skating skills,
      *roller derby stance and technique
      *roller derby rules and gameplay.
Within 3 to 6 months, depending on your fitness level, skating experience, dedication, and effort, you should be able to take and pass the WFTDA minimum skills test and the WFTDA rules test. Skater tots who pass their assessments will become full league members and will initially be placed on the Crush team.

Transfers may enter with a tot class or may use our transfer policy at any time of the year. A transferring skater will be assessed after a probationary period and assigned to a team based on her skill level.
