What brought you to DDR?

It's cheaper than therapy... and more fun, too! I actually heard about DDR through a friend whose sister attended a bout in the fall of 2010. I went home to check them out online and saw they had tryouts coming up. I didn't even think about it, just sent the e-mail for more info... I had to try this! Josie's enthusiasm for derby just jumped out of her response and into my bloodstream. I attended my first bout in November and was hooked.

What keeps your wheels turning?

Strange as it may sound, it feels good to fall down, get knocked down, trip over your own skates or whatever and get back up. Life is tough. Derby makes you tougher!

What is your most embarrassing derby moment?

Come to my first bout and you'll probably witness it firsthand! :)

What is your proudest derby moment?

Passing the skills test!

No injuries, just a lot of bruises.

I don't know if you'd be impressed, but I know I'm impressed with how far I've come thanks to the awesome coaches and teammates' training at DDR. I can finally do crossovers! and plow stop! Hockey stops? Well that's another story...
