When did you start playing Roller Derby?
March 2012. I started skating with the Reading Derby Girls and then transferred to Dutchland July 2014.
What positions do you normally play/like to play?
I love Blocking! Hitting people -- YES!
What do you love about Roller Derby?
Besides the actual sport, I love the community. Roller Derby brings together all kinds of people from all kinds of backgrounds and we all have this one crazy thing in common.
What do you love about Dutchland?
I love the dedication and determination of every single person in this league. Our skater coaches are rad and our team captains do such an awesome job!
Favorite Roller Derby moment?
I never jam because it's not really my favorite, but my coach from Reading put me in a handful of times during a bout, and I ended up winning Jammer MVP! I felt so accomplished and proud -- I cried.
What is your most embarrassing derby moment?
In derby you're always falling or accidentally grabbing your teammates or looking ridiculous in bout pics. Everybody has total Derp moments. I just laugh.
What is one piece of advice you could give to newer girls or those who are thinking about joining Roller Derby?
DO IT! It will save you and keep you sane.
What is one thing that Roller Derby/Dutchland helped you achieve?
I have a new found confidence in myself and I have gained friendships that will last a lifetime.
What has Roller Derby taught you?
It has taught me to never give up and to trust myself, as well as others.
Anything you'd like to say to your adoring fans?
Thank you for your support and love!
