I wanted to try out roller derby for a long time. When I relocated back to Lancaster, I decided it was finally time to let go of my fears and gave it a try. Best decision ever.
What do you love about Roller Derby?
I love how accepting the derby world is, how inspiring it can be, and the inner strength it gives.
What do you love about Dutchland?
How supportive and welcoming my teammates are. Everyone is so willing to help each other and be their for each other and the community. They really remind you of the good that is in this world.
Favorite Roller Derby moment?
Finally being told by Braless that I had passed from the tot program to the Crush after being a tot twice! (bearing necklace included)
What is your most embarrassing derby moment?
Haven't had one... yet.
What is your proudest derby moment?
Doing 28 laps in 5 minutes after returning to roller derby from almost a year off skates.
Got any injury stories?
I was blessed with a beautiful 9 month injury during my first try at the tot program.

What is one piece of advice you could give to newer girls or those who are thinking about joining Roller Derby?
Keep pushing yourself until you can't push any further. You'll be surprised at what your body can do.
What has Roller Derby taught you?
That there it's strength in me to do the impossible. Physically and mentally.
Anything you'd like to say to your adoring fans?
I'd like to thank my husband for understanding that sometimes in derby I just have to go out until midnight for karaoke and that wings after scrimmage are a must. Also, my beautiful girls who give me the strength at the end of the day to gear up and hit the floor.
