What do you love about Roller Derby?
I love the physicality of roller derby, I love the practices, scrimmages and bouts, I love the friendships I've gained. I pretty much love EVERYTHING about derby!
What do you love about Dutchland?
Dutchland is such a diverse group of strong women all working together with the same goal in mind.
Favorite Roller Derby moment?
My favorite moment is passing qualifications and making the Crush roster.
Most embarrassing Roller Derby moment?
I don't really have any really embarrassing moments - yet. I do fall down sometimes for no reason whatsoever, but doesn't everyone?
Dutchland's 2013 season is in full swing and it's looking good! What are you looking forward to in the next few bouts?
For the 2013 season I'm looking forward to improving my skills, working together as a team and kicking some serious butt!!
What is one piece of advice you could give to newer girls or those who are thinking about joining Roller Derby?
For anyone thinking of giving roller derby a go be prepared for hard work. This is by far the hardest, most difficult thing I've ever done. This is not some casual sport. Derby is a serious, kick butt, full-contact sport which requires dedication & commitment. Be prepared to WORK!!
What is one thing that Roller Derby/Dutchland helped you achieve (ie: great work outs, friend ship, confidence)?
Roller derby has helped me become more confident and serious about all aspects of my life. It has taught me to live life to the fullest, to go for everything I dream of....no more sitting on the sidelines wondering what if...
What has Roller Derby taught you?
Derby has taught me be the best version of me!
