- My wife got me tickets for my birthday one year and I was instantly star-struck! I found out that the league was looking for referees and I signed up.

- The thought of calling a legitimate penalty on my wife, Creme Brutale.
- What is your most embarrassing Derby moment?
- Once, while reffing a bout in Lehigh, a jammer slammed into me, I panicked and took her down to the floor. I'm screaming "I'm sorry!" and she's yelling "get the @#$@#$ off me!"
- What is your proudest Derby moment?
- Making it through an entire bout as an outside ref without any permanent injury (except my pride).
- Got any injury stories?
- Just some minor head trauma from my first time back on wheels in October, 2008. Within ten seconds I had fallen on my head twice. Oh, and multiple bruises from Treasure Chest when she "accidentally" hit me. With unerring accuracy.""
